“Crazy Drop- Outs” CLASS

Overview

This exciting 4-day intensive exploration of heat, gravity, design composition and glass flow will help students learn to push the limits of kiln firing of large vessels.

The fee for this class is $850, with all materials and supplies included. Class size is limited to 10 people, so sign up soon.

Lunch, snacks, and beverages are provided for each student. Those with special dietary needs may bring their choice of food and drink. 

A deposit of $200 is required to register for your seat in class.

Payments may be made in increments, with the total balance to be paid by no later than October, 15.

**Cancellation Policy –

For classes taught by visiting instructors deposits are non-refundable except:

When cancellation requests are made 45 or more days before the start of class and an alternative student is found to fill the class vacancy created by the cancellation.

For your safety, closed-toe shoes are REQUIRED for all students. Additionally, long pants are highly suggested.

Tutor Profile – Peter Kane

Peter Kane is a full-time glass artist living and producing glass in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. He obtained a Bachelor of Visual Arts at the University of South Australia & The Alberta College of Art and Design in Canada, where his major was in Glass blowing and kiln formed glass.

Peter’s killn formed work in the process of Drop Outs, and castings have gained international acclaim. He produces his own moulds to obtain different shaped drop outs, and cast glass art pieces weighing on excess of 12 kilograms.
